Memories

Memories you will likely have - enjoy: When a quarter was a decent allowance, and made with real Silver! You'd reach into a muddy gutter for a penny. Made with real copper! Looking to see if it was a 1943 copper penny! You got your windshield cleaned, oil checked, and gas pumped, without asking, all for free, every time. And you didn't pay for air? And, you got trading stamps to boot. Laundry detergent had free glasses, dishes or towels hidden inside the box. Not to mention Cracker Jacks! Photos from the 62nd reunion of the Class of 1962 at the Celebration of Life for Willard Jantzen

Image
If you click on some group photos, like the very first one, they will enlarge and show much more detail. ------------------------------------- Starting with Judy Holmgren (who has her back to the photo), to her left is Jan Olafson, then Mili McConn, Dick McConn, Don Olafson, Sheryl Hanson and finally Bruce Anderson from the class of 1969 who brought ice cream for us. Bob Toring Below are Carole Lerud and Mary Herzberg who, despite appearances, are not really identical twins. Some memorabilia that Donna Jantzen gave us. Starting with the barely visible Mary Kankelfritz in lower left hand corner and going clockwise, Dave Johnson from class of 1961, Dennis Gillund, Barb Rome, and Mili McConn. Dennis Holmgren and Fred Schroeder. Fred was right tackle, Bob Toring was right guard; Wayne Toring was left guard and Willard was left tackle.  Ron Evenson was the quarterback and once was asked whether he preferred to run to the left where Wayne and Willard would have provided the opening or to...
