Hi, this is Virginia’s sister Joanne (Wire) Zaharia, from Cummings, ND. Virginia passed away this morning (August 18, 2023) in Norman, OK. She spoke so fondly about you last year as your class welcomed her to celebrate Your ‘61 reunion. And of course I remember your family from days gone by. Would you be able to post her passing on the ‘62 website? I remember there was such thing last year, but don’t have the information.  She was so proud to be from Valley City, ND.

    It was so nice to see Virginia last summer when she, Barb Gillund and I were at the '61 reunion. We reminisced about our years as classmates. We all cherish those memories

    I remember when we were at the Omwick theater to see the first Beetles movie. Virginia was one who stood up and screamed. It was so fun!

    Virginia always had a bright, sincere smile! She was genuinely interested in life and all that was going on around her. I remember one particular potluck sleepover where we girls danced the night away!

    Virginia was such a cherished friend to my sister, Ann. She was kind and very supportive during Ann's recovery from her skiing accident.
