Photos from the 62nd reunion of the Class of 1962 at the Celebration of Life for Willard Jantzen
If you click on some group photos, like the very first one, they will enlarge and show much more detail.
-------------------------------------
Starting with Judy Holmgren (who has her back to the photo), to her left is Jan Olafson, then Mili McConn, Dick McConn, Don Olafson, Sheryl Hanson and finally Bruce Anderson from the class of 1969 who brought ice cream for us.
Bob Toring
Below are Carole Lerud and Mary Herzberg who, despite appearances, are not really identical twins.
Some memorabilia that Donna Jantzen gave us.
Starting with the barely visible Mary Kankelfritz in lower left hand corner and going clockwise, Dave Johnson from class of 1961, Dennis Gillund, Barb Rome, and Mili McConn.
Dennis Holmgren and Fred Schroeder.
Fred was right tackle, Bob Toring was right guard; Wayne Toring was left guard and Willard was left tackle. Ron Evenson was the quarterback and once was asked whether he preferred to run to the left where Wayne and Willard would have provided the opening or to the right where Bob and Fred would have been. I don't recall the answer!

Is that a Moe haircut or is it a wig?
Great photo of Willard in action against Wahpeton. We handily beat Wahpeton twice during the season and then lost by one point in the playoffs.
Fred Schroeder and Mary Herzberg
Joe and Martee Lunde from class of 1963
Judy Orness
Willard Jantzen, Jim Gilsdorf, Dick McConn, Bob Toring, Wayne Toring. Don't know the rest.

Verna Triebold Manstrom and John Manstrom say, “Greetings from Georgia!”
We were so sorry to miss my ‘62 mini reunion and attending Will’s memorial service. We were so looking forward to connecting with you. I love all the photos and comparing who I remember from our ‘62 yearbook and today. Does anyone else live in the South? We’ve lived in Roswell, GA, a northern suburb of Atlanta, for 51 years. We’re enjoying our retirement with family, grands and travel. What a fun life it is! Wishing you the BEST!

Perhaps, we need a directory of current address info? Only info you’re willing to submit, of course.

Thank you for posting the pictures. Barb
ReplyDeleteSorry I couldn't attend. Thanks for posting the pictures. A lot of changes since the 50th.

What a fun celebration! How delightful to see all of you together! I was so disappointed we couldn’t attend at the last minute as I contracted a virus. Loved the photos! Recognized most of your faces but wonder if there’ll be a cheat sheet for those of us who’ve been away too long? Best wishes,

Great photos! 'Sorry we weren't able to join you. 'Looks like the reunion/celebration was fun. My only wish was names could've been added since, at least for me, it's been so long since being with y'all, and that my memory seems to have faded, so I'm unable to identify whom is in the photos. ReplyDeleteThanks for sharing all the photos. Great to see everyone.
ReplyDeleteI enjoyed all of the pictures. I recognized most of you and sensed you were having a great time. If another gathering happens again in this lifetime, I hope to be counted among you. Until then, William Shakespeare and I leave you with this: "Age will not wither you nor custom stale your infinite variety".
ReplyDelete( You are deemed mentally acute it you can remember the character who said that, who it referenced and the play that it is from.) Mentally acute only applies if you did not use the assistance of a device that is smarter than mankind; or womankind for that matter!
